Admissions at St. Philip's Episcopal School
Admissions Process Description
Our admissions process is designed to help families determine whether our school is the right fit for their child and to ensure that we can provide an environment where every student can thrive. We seek students who demonstrate average to above-average academic ability and who show a consistent record of positive behavior.
Step 1. Submit an Application
Families begin the process by completing the online application. This provides our admissions team with initial information about the student and their educational background.
Step 2. Provide Required Documents (Grades 1–8 only)
To complete the application file, families submit the following documents.
Copy of the most recent report card or progress report
Copy of academic testing or standardized test scores
Teacher Recommendation Forms
Copy of IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
Step 3. Review of Academic and Behavioral History (Grades 1–8 only)
Our admissions team reviews the submitted records to determine whether the student’s academic performance and behavior history align with the expectations of our program. We look for evidence of grade-level proficiency, readiness for our curriculum, and consistent positive conduct.
Step 4. Student Visit or Interview (All Grades)
Applicants will be invited to participate in a student visit, screening, or family interview. This helps us better understand the student’s strengths, interests, and learning needs.
Step 5. Admissions Decision
After all steps are completed, families receive a decision from the school. Admission is offered to students whose abilities and character suggest that they will thrive in our learning environment.
